I'm proud to announce the most exciting announcement ever from Stampin' Up! this week. They are renovating the color line-up and it is fabulous!!!  I've waited forever for this. Stampin' Up! while having great quality colors, really needed to step it up and get on trend with some of the great colors that are so popular today.

Stampin' Up! is releasing 5 BRAND NEW COLORS and bringing back 10 of the retired In Colors!! On July 1st with the release of the new Idea Book & Catalog, this will be how our color collections look.

As with all new things, sometimes we have to get rid of the old make room for the new. So these are the colors we will let go. They have served us well but it is time to move over and let the Color Renovations shine tough!!!

Remember you will have 3 months to stock up on these colors if you really love them and can't live without them. They won't be going away until the end of June.

The Pleasure of Giving

One of the most important holidays in the whole world is Mother's Day, and I personally love it, for two reasons, one of them is that I'm a Mom, and the second one is that I'm  lucky to have my Mom still with us.

Unfortunately my Mom lives in Mexico City, so most of the time we can't celebrate Mother's Day together, nevertheless, I like to give her a present, and send her a card.

Thinking on her, I decided to create this Gift card holder that at the same time is a Greeting Card, that way my mom can go to her favorite store in Mexico and buy whatever she likes and at the same time have a beautiful card that I made specially for her.

The card has a middle pocket to insert a Gift Card, some cash, a check or whatever you rather to give her.

I used the "Messages for Mom" Stamp set that comes in the Occasions Mini Catalog, and one of the new punches the Scallop Trim Border, that right now is free with a $50.00 purchase and you can find it in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

The Card Stock is Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White, I also used some left overs of DSP that I had and the ribbon is the  5/8" Grosgrain on Old Olive.

In my case will be a Deposit Slit because our Gift cards in America won't work in Mexico, so I will deposit some money into her bank account.

I hope you like my idea and can use it on your personal present.

Recipes by Design Cooking with Style

Browsing around the web, I came across with one of my friend's demonstrator's blog; Sandy Hancock, and she made me realized that I was missing a very nice page of the Occasions Mini Catalog, something that can be a great present for one of your friends or even for your own kitchen, I'm talking about the Recipes by Design.

There are 64 recipe cards along with little embellishments that you can add to each card which will tell you which ones are your favorite etc!

The material that the box is made out of is slick.  So it would be easy to wipe off it something from your recipe prep were to get onto it.

I will order mine right now, because I can't wait to see it and have it, I'm in one of those stages in life when you love to cook, and I will have to confess that I'm not very good at it unless I have a recipe on my hand, so this is the perfect thing for me.

Punches Club

 The new punches from Stampin' Up! are so great that I want to have them all, they are awesome saving space, you can close them flat and store them in a small drawer, besides they are as always matching with our Stamp Sets, they are 7 new punches on the Occasions Mini Catalog and one more on the Sale-a-Bration catalog which is free right now with a $50.00 purchase.

If  you are like me, then you also want to get them all, and the best way to get them all before the catalog is gone plus get the free one is to join our "Punches Club"

 This is how it works. We will need 6 people on each group, everyone will put in $17.05 every other week, and one of those 6 people will get all the 8 punches. The order of the person getting the punches will be in the order they sign up for the club, so the sooner you sign up, the sooner you will get the punches.

There is no limit on the people that can get in the club, but we will need at least 6 people in each group so we can do it with only $17.05 every other week, otherwise the amount will increase.

This amount is including Shipping and Tax, and you will have the option of getting the 8th punch or another item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

Use your tools!

One of my favorite punches always is the edge ones, I think they give a special look to all your card and other projects.

I specially like this new one the "Pinking Hearts Border Punch" (item # 117649).

For this card I used So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke Card Stock.

I also used the new "Perfect Polka Dots" textured impressions folder. On the picture is hard to see it, but the Very Vanilla Card Stock is textured with this folder. The DSP is the Kaleidoscope.

I will definitely keep playing with my new tools and I'll show you what I create.

New Punch Design

One of the biggest issues for the stampers and scrap-bookers is the space, yes, the space in your scrapbook room if you have one, or on your bedroom, or even on your desk. I have seen people that have a tiny little desk and no place to store almost anything.

Well Stampin' Up! is always thinking on us, and on how to help us expand our creativity and that is why they decided to create this new punch design.

They close flat and that way you can store them in a drawer. Stop hanging the punches on the walls, or on shoe pouches, now you can have them close to you, and out of sight.

They are 7 new punches that as usual match our Stamp Sets, that are also in a new design of storing cases, and.. the punches are:

The punches are awesome, for this card I used both the "Scallop Trim Corner" 118870 and the "Scallop Trim Border" which is free in the Sale-a-bration catalog  Download it here!  and the result of combining both of them is fantastic.

The stamp set is also one of the new ones that come in the Occasions mini "Well Scripted" 118601 or 117072 if you want wood, and "Abundant Hope" 118547 and 117054 for the wood mounted stamps.

And talking about the new clear stamps, let me tell you that I love them! because as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I have to have in my studio, most if not all the stamp sets that come in the catalog, and when it comes to storing them, it is a problem, so this new idea of making the stamp sets so easy to store is fantastic and I love it!

They are a little more affordable than the wood ones and a lot easier to store as you can see on the picture, 12 sets of stamps in a very reduced space on top of my desk Yes! that is what we needed.

Christmas is only 19 days away and most of us are not totally ready with the presents for our loved ones.

Specially under the economical situation it's been really hard to do it this year, we are not buying as much as we used to.
